NOT READY - Graphic Design & Music knowledge

I decided a while ago that I wanted to change the direction of this blog a little and am now going to start focusing on my work as a Graphic Designer, design, self initiated briefs, pictures and photography I like and pretty much any kind of music or whatever I like, I am basically going to make it more personal.

So here is something I did last night, the new OUZO* mix tape cover. I was trying to think of way of doing something more interesting with the covers this time around, after developing a style for GET SOME that I am really happy with. I kept to the same formula in terms of the way I used the image but creating two versions, one for the mix (white is predominant colour) and one for press and promo (image is dominant). Have a look, hope you like!

MIX TAPE COVER.

You may or may not know this already but those of you who don’t know, it would be worth mentioning that I have been away for a while and that if you have wondered why there having been any posts up, then that is the reason. I have only Just found me feet again really.

I was having a look at some design blogs and this caught my eye! Check it out, it’s really nice branding and cool colourways for a one stop, fix gear shop, blog and community called Candy Cranks. I don’t particularly dig ‘fixies’ but if I had to choose one, I would definitely consider a Candy Cranks bike.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

It has been a long 5 weeks in the sun, recharging my batteries and playing some tunes! Lots of stories and lots of fun. NYE was a banger in Koh Chang, and being on national radio in Bangkok was ace!

If you follow OUZO on NOT READY this is where you will find OUZO from now on, GET SOME. NOT READY is moving in a different direction and will be a side project for me form now on. You can still expect to see music reviews, recommendations, mixes and the standard OUZO vibes coming soon at GET SOME. I have 3 HUGE compilations from Fabric that I’ll be writing about over the next week.
